Have you ever wanted something explained to you in terms that you understood, in a way that explained the purpose of something, why it exists, and the high-level overview of the what and how?

Each workshop session will consist of:

The 15 min presentation to the class on a web technology, tool, framework, or concept. to motivate the technology and concepts, demo its use cases, and discuss challenges and opportunities. Mention and review any specific tutorials you found exploring or introducing the technology. Show the output to the class, and review it. Was it good? Any caveats? Star rating 0-5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

A 10 minute interactive session. This can be a super short tutorial to just get our hands dirty. It can be follow along style or added to this database. It can be generated with the help of chatGPT (just cite cite cite!). It can be built off of a tutorial that you did. Just a short teaser, but have us get out our laptops and do something. It could be a game you make us play, or even a quiz! Ideally, we try out the thing itself. Look at codepen.com or replit.com or codesandbox.io to host your starter codes if you need. Put the content into the page in the notion database below.

Process

To prepare, I recommend the following steps:

1. Research the technology individually (keep notes)
2. Come together and discuss and choose a tutorial or two to try out.
3. Individually or in pairs implement some of the parts of the tutorial (keep notes)
4. Then write up your review based on notes
5. Create google doc presentation together and remember to:
   1. explain like I’m 5 what it is, why it is, how it is.
   2. motivate it’s use with showcased examples
   3. discuss challenges and opportunities
